Following Sultan Murad's unexpected death, the Ottoman palace mourns and a new era begins. The question arises: will Mehmed or Orhan ascend to the throne? Despite İshak's opposition, Çandarlı supports Mehmed's succession, fearing unfortunate consequences. Mehmed, cautious of potential plots, sets out carefully with his servants. Constantine plans to hinder Mehmed, favoring Orhan's ascension. Orhan, closer to Edirne and with a better chance at the throne, rejects Konstantinos' offer for help, knowing it would not be welcomed.
